Technical Writer

Job duties:

Write technical articles on the trucking industry, ranging from new truck model releases to changes in HOS laws for use on TruckPlace website.

No set limit on the length of the articles. There is a one article per month minimum. There is no maximum on the frequency of articles written. Articles must be grammatically correct, contain no spelling errors, and contain all factual information. All articles will be pre-approved before publishing.

As the author, you will retain all copyrights, but give TruckPlace the authority to publish the articles as the company sees fit.

Experience:

No writing experience necessary, but preferred. Knowledge and love of the trucking industry is required.

Event Coordinator

Job Duties:

Attend trucking related events, conduct interviews, take photographs, distribute TruckPlace related material, and write a summary of the event for use on TruckPlace website. As the author, you will retain all copyrights, but give TruckPlace the authority to publish the content as the company sees fit.

No set maximum on the number of events attended. You an attend as many or as few as you wish, however, there is a 1 event per year minimum.

Experience:

No experience necessary. Photography and social skills preferred. Knowledge and love of the trucking industry is required.

Compensation

Pay:

TruckPlace offers two different salary plans from which you can choose (or mix and match):

Pay per content: With this plan, you will be given a set amount per piece of content published on TruckPlace's website. The pay varies depending on the content published. Examples may include $10 for a technical article, or $25 for an event coverage.

Free Web Hosting: You can also opt for our free web hosting. 1GB disk space, 50GB/month data transfer. Unlimited mysql databases, ftp access, e-mail, just about anything you want. You can use your own domain name, or a subdomain of TruckPlace. Any website that is legal in California (where our servers are located) is allowed with the exception of adult content.

Fringe Benefits:

You will receive free TruckPlace merchandise. Hats, shirts, ect. You can  also get into events for free, or as a VIP, depending upon the event.
